Serbia to raise the minimum wage twice: effective 1 October 2025 and 1 January 2026

On 15 July 2025, the Socio-Economic Council of Serbia („Council“) adopted a decision to raise the minimum wage („Council’s Decision“) on an extraordinary basis, effective as of 1 October 2025. The Council’s Decision applies until 31 December 2025.

The Council’s Decision raises the minimum net hourly wage from RSD308 to RSD 337, which is a 9.4% increase.

The table below sets out calculations of the minimum monthly wages, based on the number of working hours, for the period between October and December 2025.

As of 1 January 2026, the minimum wage will be raised again, in line with the decision of the Serbian Government dated 11 September 2025 („Government’s Decision). The Government’s Decision applies until 31 December 2026.

The Government’s Decision further raises the minimum net hourly wage from RSD 337 to RSD 371, making it an additional increase of 10.1%.
